Patrick Dewane has been the head of fundraising for Minnesota Opera for the last seven years, finishing the company's $20 million Opera at the Ordway Campaign, leading its $7 million New Works Initiative Campaign, and co-leading the $75 million Arts Partnership Campaign. He has also led the company's HD video recording of its contemporary operas. Previous experience includes heading the $265 million campaign to build the Kimmell Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia. In the early 1990s he was the Director of Development at the Opera Company of Philadelphia; prior to that he was the Director of Marketing at the Dance Theatre of Harlem. He has an MFA in Arts Management from Brooklyn College and has taught writing and public speaking at the Graduate Center of St. Mary's University of Minnesota.
