Current role includes collaborating with a wide range of organizations and businesses to extend the reach of the art form, and oversee fundraising efforts, including capital campaign and planned giving. Thirty year veteran of the music industry (finance, marketing, historical production, technology, special projects, product development) and music nonprofits, (development, fundraising events, management, new technology conference), my background is in classical music: growing up in Denver as the daughter of four (parents AND stepparents) professional musicians and music educators, I spent many hours backstage and in the audience for symphony concerts, opera, ballet, and theatre – including summers attending Central City opera. Most recently served as the Executive Director for Leadership Music, an educational 501c3 non-profit which produces a selection-based annual program for leaders in the entertainment industry, with an alumni base of over 850. Prior experience includes marketing for Universal Music Group (Mercury and Lost Highway Records), and historical music production. Career highlights include marketing the 8-million selling soundtrack “O Brother, Where Art Thou?,” being awarded a Best Historical Grammy for The Complete Hank Williams (a 10 CD set), and co-authoring the photo-essay book Hank Williams: Snapshots from the Lost Highway, published by Perseus/DaCapo Press.
